Kittyhawk Chapter News - May 2007
Scholarship Golf
This summer is shaping up as a busy time for the Kittyhawk Chapter. Starting off with the 2007 Kittyhawk Scholarship Golf Outing will be held once again at Sugar Valley Country Club in Bellbrook on Monday, June 4th as the start of Kittyhawk Week. Registration begins at 7:30 and shotgun start at 9:00. This is a private club and it is generally not open to the public. If you haven’t had the opportunity to play it before, it is a great course. The cost is $80 per person for golf, cart, food, drinks, and prizes ($60 without the lunch). You can sponsor a hole for $125 for the first hole and $75 for each additional hole. Other sponsorship opportunities exist. Registration deadline was May 21st with no refunds after May 29th, but you still may be able to reserve a slot. Contact Jack Urbaniak as soon as possible to sign up or to sponsor a hole at 937-429-5429 ext 18 or at kittyhawkaocgolf@yahoo.com.
36th Annual Kittyhawk Week
The next day, June 5th starts the 36th Annual Kittyhawk Week. This year will be the first time at the ATT Conference Center in Fairborn with a reception at the nearby Holiday Inn, Tuesday evening. Details are at www.KittyhawkAOC.org. The planning team has put together a great agenda with an excellent group of speakers. All aspects of information operations are addressed as well as planned research programs in the Sensors Directorate. The deadline has passed to sign up, but there may still be space. Contact Dee Justice, 937-904-9898 or Tracy Johnston, 937-904-9925.
Crows To Invade Fifth Third Field
Make plans now to join your fellow Crows at a Dayton Dragons Game. Kittyhawk AOC has 50 seats reserved on the party deck at the end of the 3rd base line on 3 July. This is a great location for summer as the stands provide some natural protection from the sun yet the end location usually catches an evening breeze. Tickets are just $20 each and include admission, a Dragon's visor, sodas, and snacks. Tickets are on sale now. Contact Joe Koesters (671-6015) or Laura Sample (320-4076) for more details.
