Each year the Kittyhawk Chapter recognizes a few, from among the many, outstanding members of the Kittyhawk Chapter for their excellent performance and contributions to our nation and the specialty of Electronic Combat.

You can honor one of your own peers for a suitable award to recognize his/her contributions to the national defense, electronic warfare advancements, business development, management, and other categories in support of Electronic Combat. Local awards selection will be made each February with announcement of awards in March. Local award nominations are submitted for National AOC awards.


Categories

  • Service - Given to an individual who has provided outstanding services to the Chapter over the past year in leading functions, serving as communicators, special committees, etc.

  •  
  • Training - For exceptional performance in the development of EW/IS training material in a formal school environment (e.g., service school, university and/or corporate training).

  •  
  • Executive Management - For outstanding and diligent performance at the executive level in organizing , planning, and directing EW/IS personnel and programs (e.g., director or senior manager in a service laboratory, development command, test facility, operational command, program office, corporate officer, or senior program manager).

  •  
  • Management - For outstanding performance in organizing, planning, an directing EW/IS personnel and programs (e.g., a project manager, or test director).

  •  
  • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) - For significant contributions to EW/IS from ISR related endeavors.

  •  
  • Joint Service - For members of the Army, Navy, Marines, or Air Force for outstanding efforts in enhancing interoperability between services. Multiple awards (i.e., one for each of the services) can be presented if a qualifying nomination is received.

  •  
  • Business Development - For exceptional accomplishments in fostering a positive position for EW/IS and enhancing the existing business base of the recipient's organization.

  •  
  • Maintenance - For maintenance actions that have made significant contributions to EW/IS.

  •  
  • Operations - For meritorious service, achievement, contribution and/or effort in EW/IS operations. This award recognizes achievement in military operations, concepts, doctrine, or tactics.

  •  
  • Pioneer Award - For continuous participation with long service in areas of EW/IS and for individual duties not necessarily confined to technology and operations. The recipient need not be an association member. THIS AWARD DOES NOT NECESSARILY ENCOMPASS ONLY THE PERIOD OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR.

  • Research and Development - For outstanding achievement in the research and development of new EW/IS capabilities.

  •  
  • Test and Evaluation - For significant advances in technology or procedures in testing EW/IS systems.

  •  
  • Training Readiness - For significant advances in operational readiness through unit training programs.

  •  
  • EO/IR - For outstanding achievement in development or application of EO/IR technology.

  •  
  • Command and Control (C2) Warfare - For outstanding achievement in development or application of C2 strategies or systems.

  •  
  • Information Operations - For significant contributions in development of information technology programs or related doctrine or tactics, or in the application of information operations.

  •  
  • Radio Frequency (RF) - For outstanding achievement in development or application of RF systems, techniques, countermeasures, or counter-countermeasures.

  • Directed Energy Warfare - For significant contributions in directed energy warfare and related technical fields.

  •  
  • Modeling and Simulation - For outstanding achievement in development or application of modeling and simulation related to EW/IS.

  •  
  • International Achievement - For outstanding achievement by in enhancing communications/interaction between multiple countries in the fields of EW/IS, or for outstanding efforts on an international EW/IS system.

  •  
  • Integrated Product Team - For outstanding contributions to the fields of EW/IS by a government and industry team exemplifying the principles of IPT.

  •  
  • Communications - For outstanding achievement in development or application of communications systems or strategies.

  •  
  • Defensive Information Operations - For significant advances in development or application of technologies or tactics which prevent unauthorized access to information.

  •  
  • Offensive Information Operations - For significant advances in development or application of technologies or tactics related to information attacks on the adversary.

  •  
  • Psychological Operations - For outstanding achievement in development or application of psyops techniques related to EW/IS.

  •  
  • Navigation Warfare - For outstanding achievement in development or application of navigation warfare systems or strategies.
